Rich & Flexible Pages — Give your editors infinite editing power!
What if your editors could decide, on the fly, as they are writing a new article, which component to include next? Not just between paragraphs of text, images and videos, which can already be done with tools like CKEditor... What if they also had the possibility to add stuff like a slideshow between two paragraphs or a few tabs in the middle of the page? All that without leaving the node edit form. What if they could choose between a few predefined designs for each component, like the type of slideshow, a picture frame, or having the possibility to render their tabs as an accordion instead? What if your editors could have infinite editing power? Including nesting components into one another... for example a masonry gallery inside a tab entry.
A few Drupal modules already allow you to do that. I'll introduce you to each one of them, use examples of what can be done in order to show you how they work, what their limits are and which one seems the most promising.
This session is for both beginners and advanced site builders as long as this new way of creating content is new to you and you're interested in it.
This would be my first Drupal presentation so don't expect something perfect even though I'll do everything in my power to make it as interesting and catching as possible.
Unless I am asked to speak french I actually plan to make this presentation in english.
